"110. YILI MÜNASEBETİYLE ÇANAKKALE KARA SAVAŞLARI" Panel

On April 22, 2025, Balıkesir University (BAÜN) Faculty of Science and Letters, Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Fine Arts, Atatürk Principles and Revolution History Research and Application Center, and Ottoman Heritage Application and Research Center jointly organized a panel titled “The 110th Anniversary of the Gallipoli Land Battles.” Within the scope of the panel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa ÖGE, Faculty Member of the Department of History at the Faculty of Science and Letters and Director of the Atatürk Principles and Revolution History Research and Application Center, and Cihan MÜŞTERİOĞLU, Member of the Board of Directors of the Çanakkale Regional Tourist Guides Chamber and Tourist Guide, were the panelists. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serap SUNAY, Faculty Member of the Department of History, Faculty of Science and Letters, and Director of the Ottoman Heritage Application and Research Center, served as the moderator. Panelist ÖGE delivered his speech titled “Mehmetçik from the Anzac Perspective in the Gallipoli Battles.” MÜŞTERİOĞLU then gave a speech titled “The Gallipoli Front: A Strategic and Historical Perspective.” The panel was attended by Prof. Dr. Ahmet KÖROĞLU, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, faculty members, and students. After the panel, participants visited the exhibition titled “Landscapes” prepared by the Faculty of Fine Arts.
