Our center was established in accordance with the Balıkesir University Ottoman Heritage Application and Research Center Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated January 24, 2014, numbered 28892. One of the fundamental principles of our center is to organize activities aimed at helping societies with shared cultural values to better understand and comprehend their past, thereby increasing their awareness and enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of the period in which they live.  

Areas of Activity of the Center

In line with its purpose, the center carries out activities in the following areas.

* Conducting research, investigation, application, and development studies and projects.

* Collaborating and conducting joint studies with the Balıkesir University Continuing Education Research and Application Center and other units.

* Collaborating with national and international organizations with the permission of the Rectorate, encouraging and organizing joint studies, organizing conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings, and publishing.

* Provide consultancy services.

* Publish scientific works related to the subject matter at the conclusion of research and application studies.

* Organize and conduct all kinds of educational activities, courses, and seminars related to Ottoman heritage.

* Perform other tasks in line with the center's founding purpose and the objectives and principles of Law No. 2547, as well as other duties assigned by the University.
